Concept  is partnering with  Sportsnet ,  Rogers ,  The NHL ,  Intel ,  GEDI , and  Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business  to offer an incredible experience exclusively for UWaterloo students to be on the forefront of sports tech innovation.  Sportsnet Hockey Hack: Powered by Rogers 5G  is a collaborative, week-long hackathon offering the unique opportunity for participants to work with Rogers’ ground-breaking, low latency 5G technology. Students will have access to real on-ice tracking data from 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs games and use it to test and implement their innovative solutions. The overall goal of the week is to take the problem statement and will devise innovative ways to increase audience engagement and enhance the fan experience for Sportsnet viewers.  Participants will gain hands on experience working with 5G technology and taking a project from problem to solution within the week. You will work closely with experts from The NHL, Rogers, Sportsnet,

NSERC USRAs for Winter 2021

The NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) is a great opportunity for undergraduates to work with a researcher and carry out full-time research for a term. The goal of the program is to stimulate your interest in research and to encourage you to pursue a future in research and/or better prepare you for a graduate studies degree. If you would like to gain research work experience that complements your studies in an academic setting, this award provides you with financial support to do so. You will need a supervisor who has a research project you can work on. Google’s Coding Practice with Kick Start starts October 28

  Looking for a fun place to practice your coding skills without any pressure or time constraints? Join us for Coding Practice with Kick Start ! Work your way through algorithmic and mathematical problems during our week-long practice session from October 28 - November 4 . This practice session is not an official Kick Start round, but a great way for you to try something new, brush up on your coding skills, learn about the Kick Start platform, prepare for an interview, and most importantly have fun!
