UW Algorithmic Trading Competition

Bloomberg has teamed up with UWFA and MFSA to host the first ever Code B: UW Algorithmic Trading Competition.  This is the perfect opportunity to show off your programming prowess and financial acumen.  Become the first UW Algorithmic Trading Champion and show us what you can build and how much money you can make in just 17 hours!  Registration is completely FREE, but hurry the last day to sign up is Wednesday March 18th by 3pm! What is Code B? Enter the world of high frequency trading where the smartest algorithms and best trading platforms make the most money.  At Code B, students compete to create the best trading platforms and algorithms from scratch using any programming language (Python, Java, C++etc.) with the goal of generating the most wealth by playing the market. IODE Gladys Raiter Bursary for Graduate Study

To honour the memory of his wife Gladys, a member of the IODE Queen Anne Chapter in Kitchener, Norman Raiter  bequeathed funds  to the IODE chapter to establish the Gladys Raiter Bursary for Graduate Study. This Bursary is awarded based on academic standing and financial need. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized Canadian university. Value of bursary is $5000 in two installments. applications will be considered: whose family resides in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, for study locally or elsewhere in Canada, who is enrolled in a graduate degree program at University of Waterloo or  Wilfrid Laurier University. WE are:  testing our student portal development framework and are looking for enthusiastic developers to code away. We invite students with different technical backgrounds and skill levels to come together to build cool, informative widgets in the new student portal. We'll have mentors and resources onsite to help you, plenty of food and drinks... there's really no better way to spend a Saturday on campus. Currently, only students in the faculties of Arts, Engineering, Environment, and Math have access to the portal. Please ensure you have access prior to registering.
