Full-stack developers

a nyWare is a SSHRC funded interdisciplinary/inter-institutional research creation project between Fine Arts (University of Waterloo - Assistant Professor Jane Tingley), Game Design, (Sheridan College - Professor Cindy Poremba), and Software Engineering (author of OpenSCAD - Marius Kintel). The goal of anyWare is to design an interactive, distributed sculpture, in three different locations in the world - Vienna, Toronto, and MontrĂ©al, that incorporates game design in order to structure interaction. We are seeking motivated and responsible students to work on this project.  1. We are seeking highly motivated students who can contribute to software development for the project. This includes core and distributed logic, backend development and DevOps, as well as embedded and physical computing. We are looking for full-stack developers with experience with agile methodologies and knowledgeable in one or more of the following fields: • node.js (MEAN stack) • Distributed System

York CVR Vision Science Summer School

The Centre for Vision Research (CVR) at York University offers a one-week, all-expenses-paid undergraduate summer school on vision science.  This year's program will be held June 1-5, 2015. The program includes talks by CVR faculty on current research topics in vision science, as well as hands-on experience in CVR laboratories. The curriculum reflects the wide range of research areas at CVR, which includes research on human visual perception, computer vision, visual neuroscience, 3D film, immersive environments, and disorders of vision. The program will accept 24 undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in scientific research.  It is intended mainly for students who are planning to apply to graduate school in the fall of 2015, and who are interested in investigating vision science as a possible area of research. We believe this venture has the potential to make profound impacts on day-to-day Internet usage.
