OGS Applications for 2015-2016

A reminder to undergrads who are applying for graduate studies for next year that they do not need a separate application for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) that they intend to hold at Waterloo. Either the NSERC CGSM application will be used to evaluate you for an OGS or your graduate application will be used if you have not applied for an NSERC. If applying to other universities for graduate studies, please be aware that the OGS competition is now internal to the institution so you must apply through each institution and follow their instructions and deadlines which may be different at each institution. --  Margaret Towell Manager Graduate Studies David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science University of Waterloo (519) 888-4567 Ext. 34872

Transcripts for Scholarship Competitions

All NSERC and OGS applicants must ensure that there are no incomplete grades (INC) or failed to completes (FTC) on their transcripts, or blank grades other than for the current term. All of these should be fixed before you order a transcript for a scholarship competition. Transcripts can be ordered according to the specific instructions for each competition: https://uwaterloo.ca/graduate-studies/awards-funding/transcripts-scholarship-competitions NSERC and OGS applicants are also advised to get feedback from their faculty referees on their research statement for these competitions. All applicants are advised to follow the instructions and guidelines for these applications very carefully as failure to do so can compromise the success of the application.
