MedHacks - Annual healthcare focused hackathon at Johns Hopkins Hospital

MedHacks is the largest healthcare hackathon in the world hosting 400+ clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and students annually! The upcoming Virtual Fall 2020 event will take place the weekend of September 4th-6th where we will be tackling pressing medical issues at the intersection of medicine, tech, and entrepreneurship. We'll have a variety of speakers and workshops including Will Robbins from Contrary Capital, Po-Shen Loh founder of NOVID and professor at CMU, and Google Cloud. Hack for the People is an intercollegiate hackathon designed to engage students in tackling some of the world’s largest problems. The University of Waterloo is looking for volunteers to help out with a variety of roles this Canada Day 2018 including face painting, customer service, social media, and more. DataFest - May 4,5,6 2018

WHAT DataFest is a celebration of data in which teams of undergraduates work around the clock to find and share meaning in a large, rich, and complex data set. The students are assisted by roving consultants who are graduate students, faculty, and industry professionals. After two days of intense data wrangling, analysis, and presentation design, each team is allowed a few minutes and no more than two slides to impress a panel of judges. Prizes are given for: > Best in show > Best visualisation  > Best use of external data Each individual in the winning teams will receive $500. The Ohio State University Graduate Engineering Open House This fall, our annual   Graduate Engineering Open House   will take place on October 13 th   and 14 th , 2017.  This event allows undergraduates from across the country to come to Columbus, Ohio for two days, attend sessions about graduate school, competitive applications, and funding, while simultaneously interacting directly with our departments, faculty, staff, and current students.  We also include tours of some of our most impressive laboratory facilities like the   Center for Automotive Research   and   ElectroScience Lab , just to name a few. ArchHacks 2017 - Washington University's Student Hackathon

ArchHacks 2017 is Washington University in St. Louis' hackathon, taking place October 27-29th on WashU's campus. We are so excited to be bringing together over 350 students from across the US and Canada for a weekend of innovative and creative problem-solving. Our theme is HealthTech, but we welcome students who are interested in all areas of CS and innovative thinking.  We would love to have a strong student presence from Waterloo again! Geek Week in Ottawa - October 19 to 27, 2017

T he Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre and Public Safety Canada (CCIRC) and Public Safety Canada would like to extend an invitation to current students or recent graduates of Computer Engineering, Computer sciences, Information Technology and /or any related program to participate in our annual event, GeekWeek ( https://g33kw33k.ca ). The event is held from October 19 to 27 2017 in Ottawa at the Library and Archives building. This is not an internship offer as participation is not remunerated. However, it is an opportunity for students to work with cyber security experts and build their network in the field, as well as displaying their skills and potential to many employers on the lookout for new talent.
