Mobile App Developer Wanted

After extensive research and data collection with help from the psychology department in my university of over 1500 students, the data expressed a need for this innovative  app  idea that would target young adult demographics and offer them a solution to a recurring problem. Simple input of information into select categories for a user profile to track progress would be the main function of this  app . More information will be provided if interested but looking for someone who is able to design and build a modernized looking  app  that will be attractive and simple to use. I have a rough idea of the wireframes and method of monetization as well. If interested, be prepared to share a portfolio of previous experiences  and explanation on why you would be the best fit. As an option, there is the opportunity to form  a partnership if it means more commitment on the project. Please contact  David Grkinic for more information at  dgrkinic (a t) uwaterloo.ca.

STV courses for CS students

There are three courses offered by the Centre for Society, Technology and Values:  STV 205: Cybernetics and Society; STV 205: Cybernetics and Society; and STV 302: Information Technology and Society.  - STV 205: Cybernetics and Society. A exploration of human-machine feedback related systems, including history, philosophy, and ethics. - STV 210: The Computing Society (held with HIST 212). A history of computing, taught through a lens of critical thinking about technology and society of today. Perhaps my favourite course to teach, and I’m saying that as a UW CS alumni. - STV 302: Information Technology and Society. The ‘hot topics’ computing and society course. It’s taught seminar style, with an emphasis on independent research similar to CS492.
