The Faculty of Math is hosting iftar for Muslim Math undergraduate and graduate students. Spaces are limited to 50 registrants . You can drop-in anytime during the event to take home your iftar. The Math Innovation team at UWaterloo is hosting a pop-up Fireside Chat event on March 19 th , 2024. Our guest speaker for this event will be Scott Stevenson. Scott is the CEO and co-founder of Spellbook. Spellbook is the leading generative AI copilot for corporate & commercial lawyers, relied on by 1700+ law firms and in-house legal teams. Spellbook is the only GPT-4 powered tool that has been tuned for contracting & integrated with Word.  Scott’s talk will begin at 4:30 pm in MC 1085 in a fireside chat style. The Business team at Correlation   One , a New York based startup that hosts data science and engineering competitions for the world’s best STEM students, is are excited to announce that they are partnering with Citadel and Citadel Securities to host the Spring Invitational Datathon . This is a data science competition that challenges students from the region’s best universities to tackle real-world social challenges in topics such as urban traffic, renewable energy, and education . Top performing students have the opportunity to win $15,000 in cash prizes along with exclusive recruiting opportunities with Citadel (both internships and  full-time roles). Academia or Industry?   is a 1-day workshop for women+ in math who are pursuing a graduate degree (or have recently graduated) to receive guidance and mentorship with regards to career opportunities post-graduation. Some of the workshop sessions include a keynote presentation, and career panels on both academia and industry.
