About Heali AI: The team consists of two serial entrepreneurs, two PhD engineers, two registered dietitian nutritionists, two ivy league masters and alumni from Google, Amazon and Snapchat. They're looking for additional engineering expertise as they look to build a suite of new unique tools.

Heali’s mission is to make personalized dieting simple. They’re using a suite of technologies including Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Machine Learning AI to power a unique set of tools for consumers. More can be shared on an individual basis.

Heali AI is currently have Internships / Consultancy Openings: Full Stack Engineer, Machine Learning Scientist (Fall Only), and Optical Character Recognition And Tracking Scientist.

Full Stack Engineer Hard Requirements:

• College completion in Computer Science (minimum BS)
• Must knows: C++ , Python, Javascript
• Required experience with: Node.js, React, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals

Responsibilities:

• Develop with our engineering team client and server side solutions for our B2C products
• Develop web apps and html embeddable widgets for our B2B products
• Develop tools to benchmark our technology on large dataset
• Help the science team to transfer their AI and AR technology into our products
• Marketing activities including advocacy and grassroots activities to increase word-of-mouth

Qualities:

Machine Learning Scientist

Hard Requirements:

• College completion in Computer Science (minimum BS)
• Must knows: C++, Python
• 2+ years experience in Machine Learning, with minimum 1 year experience in NLP
• Required experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
• Related internship/job experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals
• Optional: experience in retrieval, used or implemented TF/IDF

Responsibilities:

• Develop new NLP technology to power our B2B and B2C products, such as automatic recipe generation from a list of ingredients or from a restaurant menu, or nutrition facts prediction from a restaurant menu, etc.
• Help the engineering team to integrate the technology into our products
• Help mining new diet / food related datasets
• Help founding NLP conference workshops related to our business, or publishing papers
• Marketing activities including advocacy and grassroots activities to increase word-of-mouth

Optical Character Recognition And Tracking Scientist Requirements:

• College completion in Computer Science (minimum MS)
• Must know: C++ , Python
• Already implemented a visual tracking system in a past experience
• Already implemented a Glyph detection and recognition system in a past experience
• Tesseract experience prefered
• 2+ years experience in Machine Learning, minimum 1 year experience in Computer Vision
• Experience with a Deep Learning Framework, like TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
• Related internship/job experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop proprietary mobile OCR and Tracking technology
• Integrate technology within our app
• Benchmark technology on 500+ restaurant menus and 20K+ food recipes (optional) Implement Augmented Reality overlay to showcase the technology (optional) Publish paper with the team
