Software QA Engineer Position Available

Location: Waterloo, ON


About the Role:

In this role, you will be required to work closely with both the QA and Development teams for test case creation and execution. You will also be involved in code reviews and test case automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a QA (Test) Engineer by closely collaborating with Testing, Performance and Development teams
  • Genuine interest to come up with innovative ways to test/break the software and find issues which otherwise customer may find later

  • Design, Develop and Maintain Test Plan and Test Cases

  • Estimate, plan and implement QA schedules with the help QA Manager and the QA team

  • Participate and Contribute in Code Reviews with the Development team

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3-6 years of total Software Industry experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Python automation, API Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, and Agile Methodology
  • Candidate must have good knowledge of windows PC technologies and basic network related concepts
  • Candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills and must be a strong team player
  • Candidate must have a good attitude towards work and must be self-motivated

Grad students needed to mark reports for PD2

WatPD is currently seeking graduate students to mark reports for PD2: Critical Reflection and Report Writing from late-March to early-April. Students in this course must write a 16-20 page report which is worth 50% of their final grade. With over 1500 reports expected to be submitted, we need your help!
