Three Jane Street programs have opened for the new year! See below: First Year Trading and Technology Program FTTP:   (March 28 - April 1, 2023 in NYC) is for first year students studying math, physics, CS or other STEM-related majors. It does not require a prior knowledge of finance, only an interest in seeing what a career at Jane Street might look like. Jane Street will provide all travel and housing accommodations.   Deadline to apply is Sunday, February 5. Jane Street Immersion Program JSIP:   (Summer 2023) is an 8-week summer program for undergraduate students between their first and second year who are passionate about software engineering and have experienced barriers to access and opportunity within computer science. JSIP is based out of our NYC office for aspiring software engineers. Participants will develop their programming skill sets and work on an original open-source project alongside a Jane Street mentor.   Jane Street will provide a scholarship and NYC housing accom

The Let’s SOLVE it, Undergraduate Mentorship Program is now open for applications! Let's SOLVE it is an AI mentorship program that aims to help undergraduate students in Canadian universities make a difference in their communities through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This free 2-months program provides students with mentorship, contacts, training and the guidance needed to solve a problem in their local community and turn their idea into a viable proof-of-concept. We're looking for teams of 3 to 5 undergraduate students. The mentorship program is conducted virtually and runs from March 1st to May 1st. Anyone interested can learn more about this initiative on our Let's SOLVE it webpage. Applications close at 11:59pm ET on January 29, 2023. Research Volunteers Needed   Researchers from the Department of Health, Aging, and Society at McMaster University are looking for volunteers who are current undergraduate students at any Canadian university who would like to share about their mental health throughout their undergraduate career.  You would be asked to fill out a 10–15-minute survey asking personal questions regarding your mental health, experience using mental health resources through the university (if at all), and any barriers you may have experienced in caring for your mental well-being. You will also be asked some demographic questions (i.e., to identify your age, race, gender, etc.).
