Hack the North organizer applications are now open!

Hack the North organizer applications are open! As an organizer, you’ll have the opportunity to help plan and execute Canada's biggest hackathon, hosting 3,000+ hackers from 40+ countries across the globe! 💙 Hack the North is looking for passionate students to join our frontend, backend, marketing, sponsorship, logistics, design, and internal operations teams. The average time commitment for team members is 7 to 10 hours per week, but can vary week-to-week depending on the role. Students from all backgrounds and disciplines are welcome — you don’t even have to be involved in the tech community to join! Reimagine Learning and Education in our Communities Challenge

  As a result of the global scale of change and disruption in 2020 (including the COVID-19 pandemic, social justice awakening, demonstrations to uphold Indigenous rights, etc. and the growing inequities within communities), Sheridan College wants to catalyze an open-discussion around the imperative to build resilience - individually and organizationally. Paid opportunity with Camp Tournesol: Curriculum Lead and Head Instructor (Coding)

Camp Tournesol is looking for a coding enthusiast who likes to share their passion with others! They are a leading virtual classes organization serving thousands of families, looking to expand their product line. You will be: participating in identifying the best classes to develop developing the curriculum for the classes under the supervision of our director of curriculum Testing the content on our beta group Instructing the classes and helping in selecting and training other staff for this group of classes. Involved in internal automation projects as needed. You have: A self starter attitude and are an independent worker. 3rd year university student in a related field or higher education. Strong technical skills and knowledge of powerpoint (slides) and zoom. Work well within a team. Have experience teaching or working at camps. Excellent english verbal and written skills. Knowledge of Minecraft, Roblox, Python and Scratch. Expertise at chess is an asset. Being Comfortable
