This venture is supported by GreenHouse as a social impact venture that is simplifying medical information for newcomers (and other groups). Below is the summary of the project: Problem Miscommunication is the primary factor in 80% of all medical errors. Every year, healthcare institutions spend billions of dollars worldwide on malpractice litigation, non-adherence to medication, and unnecessary care, all caused primarily by miscommunication. Regardless of the medium, audience, or topic, oftentimes, medical information is written the same way; with a lot of medical jargon. This is ok for a peer-reviewed article but not so much for a patient discharge note or other patient-facing documents.
