The CS Instructional Support Group is looking to hire an Instructional Support Assistant for CS 241E.  The ISA provides the primary student contact, serving as a consultant for course-related material through consulting hours. They have the opportunity to gain teaching experience by helping deliver tutorial sessions and organizational experience by coordinating the teaching assistants assigned to the course. Other duties include development of tutorial materials, auto-marking scripts and test cases, proctoring and marking. Students who have taken or are currently enrolled in CS 241 are encouraged to apply. I am a PhD student at Computer Graphics Lab in the School of Computer Science. I am working under the supervision of Professor Craig S. Kaplan. We are seeking research participants for a study that involves one session lasting between 45 and 60 minutes. During the session you will be asked to complete two tasks. The first task involves sorting a number of arrangements on small cards into a number of piles. The arrangements are composed of four sets. For each set there is a sample image and eleven larger samples. You will be asked to pile the images according to your own criteria. The piles you make will be recorded for reference and analysis.
