Radix is a research-driven trading startup (~35 people) led by Michael Rauchman (former CTO and lead architect of GETCO), and Ben Blander (UChicago math PhD and former head of Citadel's high-frequency group).  Over the past two seasons, we've added 12 graduating students from Princeton, Harvard, UPenn, MIT, Columbia, and UChicago, and we’re excited to expand our efforts to Waterloo! OpenText is inviting Waterloo students (as well as staff and faculty) to a really great (really free) event this summer called  Future Forward .  If you’re able to, you should take advantage. T he Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre and Public Safety Canada (CCIRC) and Public Safety Canada would like to extend an invitation to current students or recent graduates of Computer Engineering, Computer sciences, Information Technology and /or any related program to participate in our annual event, GeekWeek ( https://g33kw33k.ca ). The event is held from October 19 to 27 2017 in Ottawa at the Library and Archives building. This is not an internship offer as participation is not remunerated. The Horizons One Fellowship The Horizons One Fellowship supports 15 outstanding university students in their pursuit to become leaders in technology. The program provides immersive software engineering and web/mobile development courses geared towards high-achieving college students. It also provides Fellows a full-year of industry experience as a software engineer at a high-growth company. Students need not have a computer science background! Our curriculum, developed by ex-Salesforce and Optimizely engineers alongside PhDs in computer science, is designed to teach students how to build web, mobile, and desktop applications.
