The Instructional Support Group (ISG) is seeking enthusiastic and dependable people to assume valuable roles on our teaching teams for several second-year courses (CS246, CS240, CS241 and CS241E). Each teaching team consists of course instructor(s), graduate instructional apprentices, graduate teaching assistants and an Instructional Support Assistant (ISA).
The ISA provides the primary student contact, serving as a consultant for course-related material through consulting hours. He or she also has the opportunity to gain teaching experience by helping deliver tutorial sessions and organizational experience by coordinating the activities of the graduate teaching assistants assigned to the course. Other duties include development of tutorial materials, auto-marking scripts and test cases, and assisting in proctoring and marking.
This is a 4-month full-time employment in Fall 2018 term. Although our first commitment is to Co-op placements, non-Co-op students will be considered for these specific courses for Fall 2018. Undergraduate students who have taken some second-year level CS courses are encouraged to apply.
To apply for these positions, please send your University of Waterloo Co-op Work History if any, Résumé and Grade Report to glu@uwaterloo.ca.
