Queen’s University is excited to host the second annual Computing Student Research Conference this October 4th-5th. You don't need to be an expert in computing to attend CSearch!  We are a conference for all undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in STEM to come together and discuss their ideas regarding innovation and research in progressing technology fields. Come learn about work being done in computing through keynotes, workshops, and student presentations! The GREC team has recently received approval to move forward with a new co-op position for students who will be in year 3A  - 4B who may be interested in graduate studies. The Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF) program will provide students with the opportunity to work full time for one co-op term with a supervisor and team of graduates. Our ultimate goal with this program is to build more awareness on the school's research programs and expose students to what graduate studies are like.  Fellowship Details: Students will receive a minimum of $15,000/term for their co-op placement The School will contribute $7,500/student NSERC USRA + faculty to top up the difference Students can apply through WaterlooWorks or through our website .

The HeForShe  program is an initiative that challenges all of us at UWaterloo to provide leadership in advancing gender equity. Would you like to contribute to this cause by volunteering at an exciting event on Monday? The Canadian  Get Free Tour  will be launched by the United Nations Women at the University of Waterloo on Monday, September 16, 2019.
