Free Training Program for Computer Science Alumni + work with CSIS

Ryerson’s Advanced Digital and Professional Training (ADaPT) program is offering a 2-week intensive bootcamp for women in tech and veterans that will lead to certification and potential employment for qualified applicants who successfully complete the training in good standing, obtain their PEGA certification and screening process.

What will you learn?

Participants will learn the core principles of application development on the Pega Platform.™ They will perform the most common development tasks to prepare for their first Pega deployment, including case management, data modeling, UI and information exchange.

Our Employment Partner's Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) or technologist diploma (3 years) in Computer Science or other similar major, from an accredited institution recognized in Canada
  • Must be a Canadian citizen
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada
  • 10 years of verifiable information
  • Must pass Level 3 government security check (Enhanced Top Secret)
  • Must be willing to re-locate to Ottawa (some relocation expenses may be reimbursed)
Our Process
  1. Submit application to enroll into the 2 week training program
  2. Complete training, write exam to obtain PEGA certification
  3. Employment Partner’s Screening Process (Online application, Technical Interviews, Written Task, Security Interviews, Background Investigation including Credit/Financial Verification, Second Language Testing, Polygraph)
  4. Potential offer of full-time employment with a leading Federal Government Agency

Microsoft Mentorship Program for junior CS students

Want a mentor in Tech? Whether you’re taking CS because you want to dip a toe in the tech waters or because you are fully committed to a tech journey, a new Microsoft mentoring program has been developed with you in mind. Microsoft employees will serve as your mentors, coaching your cohort of peers through group and individual remote sessions. You’ll work on developing individual and collaborative strategies to help navigate challenges that can arise across personal, academic and workspaces.  Ready to build your tech resilience? Interested in a resume-builder?  Programs launch late March 2021.
