Columbia Business School has a unique interdisciplinary PhD program in the Decision, Risk and Operations division, where it combines math, engineering, economics, and data science, to improve decision making and policy via mathematical models and data-driven analytics.
Key
differentiators of the program include a low student-to-faculty ratio, full
funding, all-star faculty, flexibility to choose an advisor, rigorous
coursework, deep and impactful research, an attractive location, brilliant
fellow students from diverse backgrounds, and an unparalleled academic
placement record.
The PhD
program webpage, including an informational video, is here (application deadline: Dec 15, 2022). There will be
multiple opportunities to interact with faculty and students during the
admissions process. Please contact Dan
Spacher (ds2187@gsb.columbia.edu) if you encounter any logistical issues in submitting
your application.
In
addition, there are several predoctoral
research programs they offer at Columbia Business
School. Students will have the opportunity to support the cutting-edge research
of renowned faculty and gain valuable experience (email Khaled Hamdy khamdy@gsb.columbia.edu if interested).
