Intellectual Challenges for CS Students

I’m reaching out to you because I have awesome opportunities to share with the Computer Science students at Waterloo and would greatly appreciate your help to get the word out.

My name is Aaron, and I'm a recent graduate working at MindSumo. <http://ht.ly/fewut> Our company’s goal is to connect students to potential employers through technical challenges. <http://ht.ly/fewut> We just added two new challenges specifically for Computer Science students with prizes and internships offered from Box.net and Kayak.

Box’s challenge <https://www.mindsumo.com/contests/71> asks students to write an algorithm to improve the speed and accuracy for a search function and has $1000 in prizes.

Kayak’s challenge <https://www.mindsumo.com/contests/72> offers about $600 in prizes and requires students to submit code or pseudocode that will work in conjunction with a weather API to determine the warmest locations for travelers planning their vacations.

I know that Waterloo Computer Science students could really shine by participating in these challenges. If you could forward this email to undergrad and grad students in your department, I’d be extremely grateful.

Best,

Aaron Weiss
