One-Year Term Position
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

Based in southwestern Manitoba, Brandon University also offers pre-professional and Masters programs, as well as innovative and award-winning outreach programs in a personalized learning environment.
Applications are invited for a one-year term position in the area of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Teaching responsibilities:  The ideal candidate will be able to teach junior and senior courses in Computer Science. Ability to teach Computer Architecture, Computer Organization, Operating Systems, or C as a second language would be an asset. Depending on the candidate’s field of expertise, some alterations may be made in potential course assignments.

Qualifications:  A minimum of a Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science. Experience in undergraduate teaching would be an asset.

The Department offers B.Sc. degree programs and B.Sc. (Honours) degree programs with Majors and Minors in both Mathematics and Computer Science. Objectives of the program include educating students as effective computing professionals with superior oral and written communication skills or enabling them to secure admission to a high-quality graduate program. Start Date: August 1, 2014, or as mutually agreed.
Rank and Salary: Lecturer or Assistant Professor; salary to commensurate with qualifications and experience.
