The Department of Medical Biophysics (MBP) at the
University of Toronto will be holding an Open House on Saturday, January 10,
2015 from 10:00 am - 2:00pm at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, 610
University Ave, 7th Floor Atrium, Toronto.
Are you an undergraduate student considering a career in
leading-edge biomedical research? We invite you to attend our Open House to
explore our interdisciplinary MSc and PhD Graduate and Summer Undergraduate
Research Programmes. This is your opportunity to speak with Medical Biophysics
(MBP) profs and graduate students. Learn how to apply to our graduate
programme, take a guided tour of the extensive research facilities and visit
poster displays by world leading research labs.
Some quick facts about MBP:
- We are the only University of Toronto Department operating wholly within our hospital research institutes; our students are based at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, MaRS, Toronto Centre for Phenogenomics and the Lunenfeld Research Institute. These provide access to world-renowned researchers and state-of-the-art research facilities;
- MBP has a unique history of exceptional faculty and exceptional students: our faculty and alumni hold some of the most influential positions within the research community in Canada.
