Designed for students with quantitative backgrounds, the 16-month UBC Master of Management in Operations Research (MM in OR) program provides outstanding preparation for solving problems resulting from operational challenges in today's leading businesses.

What you'll learn

Administered by the Centre for Operations Excellence (COE), the program prepares students with backgrounds in mathematics, engineering, economics or other quantitative fields for rewarding careers as operations research analysts and consultants.

Industry projects

The highlight of the program is the Industry Project. Each student is matched with a COE Industry Partner to consult on a significant operational issue faced by the company - enabling you to apply the analytical and practical skills learned in your coursework. In many cases, Industry Partners are so satisfied by the project  experience  that they hire our students to continue their work after graduation.
