UofT Medical Biophysics Open House




Are you an undergraduate student considering a career in leading-edge biomedical research?

The Department of Medical Biophysics (MBP) at the University of Toronto will be holding an Open House on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10:00 am - 2:00pm at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, 610 University Ave, 7th Floor Atrium, Toronto.

We invite you to attend this event to explore our interdisciplinary MSc and PhD Graduate and Summer Undergraduate Research Programs. This is your opportunity to speak with Medical Biophysics (MBP) profs and graduate students. Learn how to apply to our graduate program, take guided tours of our extensive research facilities and visit poster displays by world-leading research labs.

Some quick facts about MBP:
  • We have more than 220 graduate students and 120 faculty;
  • We are the only University of Toronto Department operating within hospital research institutes; our students are based in Research institutes including the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Research Institute, Hospital for Sick Children, Mount Sinai Hospital, Rotman Research Institute and Toronto General Hospital.  These provide access to world-renowned researchers and state-of-the-art research facilities.
  • MBP has a unique history of exceptional faculty and exceptional students: our faculty and alumni hold some of the most influential positions within the research community in Canada.


Major Research Themes include: Biomedical Imaging, Cancer Diagnosis & Therapy, Cancer Mechanisms & Models, Cardiovascular Sciences, Data Science & Computational Biology, Image Guided Therapy & Device Development, Neuroscience, Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine, and Structural Biology.
