The Marconi Society is seeking nominations of young scientists and engineers with the potential to make game-changing contributions in the field of communications and the Internet, for its Paul Baran Young Scholars Awards. http://www.marconisociety.org/youngscholars.html
Founded in 1972, the Marconi Society recognizes the achievements of living scientists in the field of information and communications science. Young Scholars receive a $4000 cash prize plus $1000 in expenses to attend the annual awards gala, to be held this year on October 1st in Bologna, Italy. This is an opportunity for your brightest young researchers to gain well-deserved recognition, and meet and network with some of the industry's best-known scientists and engineers.
Candidates must be nominated by a faculty member, department chair, or manager with whom they are closely associated and who can verify relevant accomplishments and potential for future achievement.
