Vidyard Tech Start-Up Recruiting & Information Event

Date: Thursday, May 23, 2013
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Location: Chainsaw Saloon (28 King St. N, Waterloo)

Description:

Come join us on Thursday, May 23rd at the Chainsaw Saloon for our spring term Tech Start-Up Recruiting and Information Event!

This is a FREE event for computer science and engineering students.

Working for a startup gives you the opportunity to manage your own tasks, watch your deliverables hit the market and be in an awesome environment!

Many of the startups attending have positions to fill and are looking for students like YOU to join their team, so come to Chainsaw and engage in conversation to learn more about the companies and what they have to offer.

Not only is this a great way for you to learn more about working for a startup by talking to founders and staff, but you can also enjoy the FREE poutine buffet and FREE drinks, with FREE beer starting at 7:30 p.m.

And of course, there will be nerf gun giveaways and Vidyard will be presenting the popular live coding challenge - where the winner will be offered an internship/co-op job on the SPOT!

You don't need to be 19 to come, but you DO need to bring your ID and a few resumes.
NO ID and NO Resume = NO Entrance

Please be sure to register at the website below and let us know you're coming!

To register and to see who will be attending visit: http://guestli.st/162993

Hope you're as excited as we are - can't wait to meet you!

Thanks!

Enrollment caps have been restored for CS courses

As per the course selection policy, enrollment caps for all CS courses have been returned to their actual class size. If the class or section is full then it means that you will need to wait for another student to drop it. You have until 11.59 p.m. on Monday May 14 to add courses.

The following courses still have waiting lists and department consent applied so you will NOT be able to add these courses.

Course enrollment for Spring 2018

Appointments for course enrollment began on Monday 26 March and open enrollment begins on Wednesday 28 March.

For students trying to add CS courses, we encourage you to review the course selection page.

COURSE ENROLLMENT
In Computer Science,  we drop the enrolment caps by approximately 15% of the total enrolment number for the course to give advisors room to handle special cases. We will return the enrolment caps to their actual size in the second week of classes after we have had time to deal with the special cases. This will occur on Friday, May 4, 2018, (we don't know the precise time) and remaining space will be available on a first-come-first-served basis only if the section isn't already at its enrolment total. WHAT IS A SPECIAL CASE?
