UWFA Trading Challenge (Part 2)

The UWFA Trading Challenge allows students to practice trading in a dynamic, competitive, and risk-free environment. The Rotman Interactive Trader (RIT) software provided in the M3 Finance Lab will be used to simulate real-time trading amongst the participants. The three most profitable traders will receive $100 in prizes courtesy of Bloomberg. The event will be held in M3 2103 at 6:00pm on Thursday March 13th. Two representatives from Bloomberg Trading Systems will be in attendance, and will be providing FREE BLOOMBERG SWAG.

The challenge will consist of three cases, each run 4 times (12 total simulations). The trader with the highest average P&L rank in each case will be the winner for that case. The first half-hour of the event will consist of practice rounds to get students familiar with order-types, trading strategies, and the RIT software.

Note that the M3 Finance Lab has a MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 30. Please arrive early to ensure yourself a spot.

WatPD is currently seeking graduate students to mark reports for PD2: Critical Reflection and Report Writing from late-March to early-April. Students in this course must write a 16-20 page report which is worth 50% of their final grade. With over 1500 reports expected to be submitted, we need your help!
