Paid Summer Research Invitation for 2016 (NSF REU site) 

Program: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Department at Oakland University (Michigan) will conduct a 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students in 2016. The program is designed to infuse qualified undergraduates with enthusiasm toward both graduate level education and a career in research.

Program features:
• 10 weeks full time research program from May 23rd through July 29th. Students can not be working or taking classes at the same time.
• Research in teams of 2 under close supervision by CSE faculty and graduate students.
• Variety of research topics available in Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace. 
• Students receive a stipend of $5,000, meal allowance, and travel subsidy to attend a conference. 

Requirements:
• Open to all undergraduate students who are graduating after August 15, 2016 (US citizens and permanent residents) with an interest in Computer Science and Engineering.
• Knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures, plus a strong background in math.
• Students will be selected based on statement of interest, GPA and letters of recommendation.

Important Dates:

REU Dates: May 23rd – July 29th, 2016

  5. Summer research season is one of the major segments for the students. The facilities of the center of the research have been able to read here for the students. The fort coming items have been don for the people.

Grad students needed to mark reports for PD2

WatPD is currently seeking graduate students to mark reports for PD2: Critical Reflection and Report Writing from late-March to early-April. Students in this course must write a 16-20 page report which is worth 50% of their final grade. With over 1500 reports expected to be submitted, we need your help! Strong candidates for this position will have: ·          a desire to support students in an online learning environment ·          previous marking and/or teaching experience (preferably post-secondary) ·          strong written communication skills ·          an ability to correct quality of writing errors ·          a good understanding of English grammar and syntax To be eligible for this position, you must be available for training sessions in March that are held on campus at the University of Waterloo.
