Future Female Techmakers Conference

The Future Female Techmakers Conference (FFTC) hopes to teach women how to be effective mentors, provide female role models to young women interested in the tech industry, and create lasting meaningful connections that will support all participants in their journey towards becoming female techmakers. 

FFTC will be accepting approximately fifty Grade 9 high school students and fifty undergraduate students. The attendees will attend a series of 90-minute workshops specialized for each stream, as well as joint sessions that promote mentorship. 

The conference is an exciting opportunity for the girls to participate in hands-on workshops, learn interesting computer science concepts (including UI design, databases, graph theory, algorithms, and artificial intelligence), discover real-world applications of technology that go beyond video games and hacking, and meet current students in computer science and engineering.

WatPD is currently seeking graduate students to mark reports for PD2: Critical Reflection and Report Writing from late-March to early-April. Students in this course must write a 16-20 page report which is worth 50% of their final grade. With over 1500 reports expected to be submitted, we need your help!
