We have a new course offered this spring – HIST 203 - In the Director’s Chair. Students will have the opportunity to create a documentary using hands on teaching and learning techniques. The course is offered on Monday evenings and is being taught by a real documentary producer - Craig Thompson.
Director’s Chair is a project-based course that provides students with the skills and the foundation of knowledge required to conceive, develop, research, write, produce and exploit a personal or historically-themed documentary.
*This is a hands-on course with in-field, in-lab and in-class lecture components.
*Each student is required to create their own short documentary, under 10 minutes, where teamwork, collaboration and brainstorming are part of the process.
