The Waterloo Cybersecurity CTF Team will be holding a two
part event going over basic skills needed for cybersecurity competitions. On
Wednesday Nov 6, 5:30-7:00pm in EIT-3042 we will go over the fundamentals of
embedded programs with an an introduction to assembly language and how software
works at the machine level. We will also present two online examples where
attendees can follow along as well as showing a demo how the skills can be
applied to solve a previous CTF reverse engineering challenge.

Bring your laptop and have a Linux VM on it (e.g., using
virtualbox) so you can follow along and try it yourself.
