The Waterloo Cybersecurity CTF Team will be offering the second (and last) training session of before the internal CTF (Capture The Flag)
event end of the month. The session will cover buffer overflows on 32-bit x86
platforms. This includes the concept of buffer overflows and how they can be
exploited. The sources will be uploaded so you can follow along. Bring a laptop
with Linux (or a VM) and gdb installed, so you can actively try out the buffer
overflow attack yourself.
